going to try lubuntu 11.04 Minimal Disk Space. comes with the following warming..
NOTE: Even though the change made was very small, this is an unofficial test ISO. If it somehow breaks your PC, eats your cat, elopes with your girlfriend, or otherwise misbehaves, neither I nor Lubuntu will accept any liability for that 🙂

steve jobs
steve jobs died yesterday. A sad day, he was a great man. I thought back to all apple products I have used over the years. in fact the first computer I ever used was an apple II e when I was in primary school.
I vividly remember they had a cool little program called “apple logo” in it. you made very basic pictures with a turtle onscreen. right 45. forward 50. it was a clever program for young kids as it made you use logic to create art. I still have a couple of the II e, they had a very distinct keyboard.
when I arrived in high school we used the early macs, I think the lab had some mac plus’ I loved the idea there was a plate in the back of all those early macs that had the
signatures of all the developers. I still have a few of those early macs, they are great machines. I loved the fact they were so small, computers back in those days were new/daunting. having a small computer really made you feel you could take control
at uni we used the new apple quicktake camera’s.
these things were well ahead of their time, so far ahead that they never took off.
for a while I collected a few pieces of interesting apple hardware. I have an original apple lisa with a full set of manuals. and a really cute apple emate 300
I love that machine, I have used it a few times to record some of my more intimate thoughts. I even have a copy of the original apple 1’s user guide signed by woz. things to tell the grandchildren.
so long steve, you made technology human. you were the guy that every young boy wanted to be
